After a nearly seven-year hiatus, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series will return to network television this weekend. Saturday's Kroger 250 will air live on FOX, the first time the series has appeared on the network. The series will make another apperarance on FOX May 26 at Mansfield Motorsports Park. The remaining 23 races on the schedule are broadcast live by SPEED.

SPEED has signed veteran sports journalist Krista Voda to a multi-year deal that will include hosting the network's pre-race show for all of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races in 2007. Voda also recently signed with FOX Sports as a pit reporter for their NASCAR Nextel Cup Series races in '07. Watch the Bodine Bobsled Challenge on SPEED this Saturday, Jan. 6 and Sunday, Jan. 7 from 2-4 p.m. ET.
NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Brendan Gaughan is trading in the horsepower of his No. 77 South Point Racing Chevrolet for a speed fix of another kind this weekend. Friday and Saturday, Gaughan will pilot a bobsled in Lake Placid, NY, as part of the Second Annual Geoff Bodine Bobsled Challenge. The charity event raises money for the Bo-Dyn Bobsled Project, Inc., which creates and builds bobsleds for the U.S. National Bobsled Team at no cost to the athletes. Gaughan, along with several other NASCAR drivers, will drive modified bobsleds on a shorter version of the course that some of the nation's best bobsledders compete on at Mt. Van Hoevenberg in Lake Placid. The course is a 17-turn, ¾-mile track where bobsled speeds will top 60 miles per hour.

SPEED will begin its NASCAR season with coverage of NASCAR Preseason Thunder testing days on Jan. 8 at 7 p.m. ET. The 30-minute highlight shows will feature testing coverage from the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series, NASCAR Busch Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series sessions at Daytona International Speedway, giving NASCAR fans their first looks at new drivers, new teams and new race cars.
