Stallins Named Director of Business Development for Memphis Motorsports Park

Memphis Motorsports Park along with their parent company, Dover Motorsports Inc., announced today that Rob Stallins has been elevated to the position of Director of Business Development for the multi-track facility located in northeast Shelby County.

Stallins, 32, joined the staff of Memphis Motorsports Park as the director of Public Relations in 1998, and has worked in that capacity over the past seven years. In his new position, Stallins will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Sales and Marketing Department, and work directly with new and current corporate sponsorships at the track.

“We are excited to announce Rob as our Director of Business Development,” Memphis Motorsports Park Vice President and General Manager Jason Rittenberry said. “Rob has been with Memphis Motorsports Park since 1998 and has a great understanding of our business, as well a, our long and short term goals.  We are certain that with Rob’s experience and his dedication to Memphis Motorsports Park that we will continue to move in a positive direction with our Sales and Marketing efforts.”

During his tenure with Memphis Motorsports Park, Stallins has been involved in several different aspects of the track, including all advertising and promotional campaigns. In addition to his responsibilities as Public Relations Director, Stallins also served two years as the Race Director for the O’Reilly Thunder Racing Series.

Prior to joining the Memphis Motorsports Park staff in 1998, Stallins served three years as an Assistant Media Relations Director for The University of Memphis Athletic Department. A native of Memphis, Stallins also worked several years as a media relations volunteer for the FedEx St. Jude Classic, as well as, other sporting events throughout the Mid-South.

Stallins is a 1994 graduate of The University of Memphis where he earned his BA from the College of Communication and Fine Arts. He and his wife Kathryn currently reside in Germantown, Tenn.
