Camping World Truck Series drivers are in the middle of a 12-day run in which they'll race three times.

Such frequency is not a good thing for those chasing series point leader Todd Bodine, who has picked the hottest part of the year to throw his hottest racing at the rest of the field.

Bodine scored his second straight series victory Saturday night, leading the final 47 laps of the race to win the Too Tough To Tame 200 at Darlington Raceway.

Bodine also won last Saturday at Nashville, and he'll go for a third straight victory in a Wednesday night race at Bristol, Tenn.

"We've got it going," Bodine understated in victory lane. "We struggled at the beginning of the year, but Junior [crew chief Mike Hillman Jr.] changed it around, and here we are. We're fast every week."

Despite the big point lead, Bodine isn't ready to declare an open road to the title.

"There are too many variables in racing," he said. "There are too many things you can't control to take you out of it. We concentrate on controlling our own fate and what happens within our grasp. We can't control getting caught up in somebody else's mess. It's never over, and we're not going to approach it that way."

Bodine took the lead under caution on lap 101 and led the rest of the way without a serious challenge. He outran Timothy Peters by .531 of a second at the finish. Following in the top five were Ron Hornaday Jr., Johnny Sauter and rookie Austin Dillon.

Bodine padded his point lead over second-place Aric Almirola from 174 points to 231. Over the past 12 races, Bodine has finished outside the top seven only twice. He has won three times this year.

The first half of the race was dominated by Peters (the pole winner) and Hornaday. Peters led 47 of the first 74 laps.

The race was sprinkled with cautions, most for multi-truck incidents.

A turn-one spin by Dennis Setzer after contact with Dillon produced the night's first caution on lap five, and Jason White's spin five laps later brought out caution No. 2.

On lap 97, Mario Gosselin lost control of his truck, slid across the track and made contact with the rear of Ricky Carmichael's Chevrolet, sending Carmichael hard into the outside wall. Neither driver finished the race.

Ten laps later, David Starr, Mike Skinner and Brian Ickler were involved in a hard turn-one crash.
