Rookie Dillon Paces First Darlington Practice
Rookie Austin Dillon apparently isn't too intimidated by the considerable challenges of Darlington Raceway.
Dillon, driving for Richard Childress Racing, led Saturday morning practice for Saturday night's Too Tough To Tame 200 Camping World Truck Series race with a speed of 169.013 mph.
Following Dillon in the top five were Timothy Peters, Stacy Compton, series point leader Todd Bodine and Ken Schrader.
Aric Almirola, chasing Bodine from second in points, was 11th in practice.
A second practice round is scheduled at noon ET, and qualifying for the 7:30 p.m. race is set for 4:15 p.m.
