PETERS: Lady In Black Rookie Run
TruckSeries.com Report

Darlington Rookie…The Too Tough To Tame 200 will mark Timothy Peters first race at Darlington Speedway. Peters has driven the "Lady In Black" before. He participated in a tire test in April of this year, which helped him learn her "too tough to tame" surface. Peters also got his Darlington stripe out of the way during the test session.

Stringing Together Top-10's…Peters and the #17 Red Horse Racing team have a string of four top-10's in a row and plan to ride that momentum to Darlington Raceway. Four weeks ago, Peters started the string with a sixth place finish at Gateway. The following week he captured the pole and earned a 10th place finish at ORP. Peters earned a 10th place finish in the inaugural event at Pocono, and brought home a top-five with a fourth place finish at Nashville last Saturday night. In 14 events so far this season, Peters has only finished outside the top-10 on three occasions.

Tight Points Battle…With a fourth place finish in Nashville, Peters jumped a position in the Camping World Truck Series driver point standings. He claimed the third spot, just 58 points out of the second spot. Peters has also been eating away at the points leader; he is now 232 points back and still in striking distance.

Timothy Peters on racing at Darlington Raceway
"I'm really looking forward to Darlington. The tire test this April really helped me get up to speed quicker. Now I won't have to spend practice learning the track because I was able to take advantage of that track time at the test. This is going to be a great race for the fans. I can remember watching the trucks race Darlington six years ago and it should be just as exciting now as it was back then."

Jeff Hensley on racing at Darlington Raceway
"There are only a handful of guys that are racing this weekend that have ever raced Darlington before so it should make for an exciting race. If the track is the same as it was six years ago, tires won't mean a lot but track position will be key. There is a lot of tradition at Darlington. Hopefully we can "tame" her on Saturday night and get Timothy's favorite chassis to Victory Lane."

Equipment Information
Timothy Peters will compete with chassis #138, affectionately dubbed "coon dog," in the Too Tough To Tame 200 at Darlington Raceway. This is the same chassis Peters piloted at Nashville last weekend where he started third and finished fourth.
