WHITE: Eager To Race 'Bud' Hamlin At Pocono
TruckSeries.com Report

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will make its debut at the "Tricky Triangle" of Pocono Raceway on Saturday. The race is significant for SS Green Light Racing's Jason White as he continues his impressive 2010 run in the series.

Pocono is the first of two races that White will run in a special partnership between GunBroker.com and popular cable network Pursuit Channel whose logos will be prominent on the No. 23 GunBroker.com Dodge RAM this weekend.

"We're real excited to have Pursuit Channel on board and I'm hoping to give them a good run," White said. "Everyone at GunBroker.com and SS Green Light Racing are proud to represent them."

White was fortunate to attend a Goodyear tire test at the 2.5-mile track earlier this year.

"It was good for us to be able to attend the test. We learned a lot about the track and what we need for a set-up. It's a neat track to drive and I'm really looking forward to it.

"We are bringing 50-Cal to Pocono. It's the same truck we ran at the test. It's one of my favorite trucks and it's given us several top-10s in the past.

"I'm really looking forward to racing against my bud Denny Hamlin (who will be in the No. 15 at Pocono). I've been talking smack to him since I found out he is going to run with us. I'm going to rub him up a bit,"
White added with a smile. "Seriously, this is Denny's track, he's got four wins at Pocono in a Cup car so we have our work cut out for us if we are going to beat him. Maybe he'll teach me some tricks to get our GunBroker.com/Pursuit Channel Dodge around the three different corners."

White sits 10th in the NCWTS standings after 12 races, heading into this week's inaugural race at Pocono.

In addition to the debut at a new venue, the NCWTS will also debut a revised multi-truck qualifying procedure for the inaugural Pocono Mountains 125. The order in which trucks will qualify will be based on their practice speeds from final practice on Friday. The trucks will be inverted with the slowest truck in practice the first out in qualifying on Saturday morning, with the fastest truck going out last. Trucks will be released from pit road in 25-second increments. Two laps of qualifying will be allowed with the fastest lap counting toward starting positions.

There are 37 trucks on the entry list for the race.
