TIMOTHY PETERS QUICK FACTS
Gateway International Raceway
Camping World.com 200
Peters at Gateway: The Camping World.com 200 will mark Timothy Peters' fourth start at Gateway International Raceway. In three previous events, Peters has earned two top-20 finishes. Last summer, he started eighth and finished seventh, marking his first top-10 finish at the St. Louis short track.
Back To Short Track Racing: Peters is hoping for better results at the second short track stop on the nine week summer stretch. Last Sunday in Iowa, Peters finished 27th after a blown engine took him out of the race at the half-way point. Peters is looking forward to Gateway International Raceway, a 1.2 mile and O'Reilly Raceway Park, a .5 mile track, and hoping for better results to get the #17 back on track for a championship run.
Still In The Hunt: Despite sliding back one spot to fourth in the Camping World Truck Series driver point standings after Iowa, Peters is still very much in the hunt for the 2010 title. He is just four points behind third place and 195 points back from the leader. Less than 50 points separate the third position from the sixth position.
Wiss On Board: Wiss® cutting products have been earning a reputation for craftsmanship and long life since 1848. The wide Wiss product line now includes snips, scissors, industrial shears, utility knives, and HVAC tools all with famous Wiss quality built in.
Timothy Peters on racing at Gateway International Raceway: "Gateway is a fun track. It's a bigger track with a short track feel and that's why I like it. I had my second Truck Series race ever at Gateway in 2005. Last weekend at Iowa we took a hit in the points and we can't afford to give any more up. I'm hoping this string of bad luck is behind us and we can get back on track at Gateway."
Equipment Information: Timothy Peters will compete with chassis #103 in the Camping World.com 200 at Gateway International Raceway. This is the same chassis Peters piloted at Dover where he started eighth and finished 25th as the result of a blown tire.
