Johnny Sauter rebounded from disappointment in the season-opener at Daytona by driving the ThorSport Racing No. 13 etc. EasytoInstall.com/Curb Records Chevrolet to a solid eighth-place finish in the E-Z-Go 200 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Sauter stayed in the lead pack throughout the entire 130-lap distance, never dropping outside of the top 15 and rarely running outside the top ten. Over the final quarter of the race Sauter raced from tenth to his eventual eighth-place finishing position.
"The truck is a lot better than it was yesterday and that's good," Sauter said. "We're a little mystified why we weren't as good here as we should have been. We had it in the wind tunnel this week and I know Joe (Shear) and the guys have worked their tails off on it over the winter. We'll get the truck back to the shop and go through it with a fine tooth comb. It's great to have teammates like the guys on the 88 truck because we worked with them last night to get our truck better. It's awesome to have everyone working together as a team and trying to get both ThorSport trucks in the top five. But we're racers man, we're here to get wins and we're not happy unless we get this team into victory lane. We finally have a race under our belts this year and we'll get to work on getting us a win at Martinsville."
Sauter improved 16 positions in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series standings, jumping to 19th. He is just 29 points out of the top-10 in the standings entering the third race of the 2010 season.

There will be two rounds of practice on Friday March 26, the first at 10 A.M. Eastern and the second at 1:10 P.M. The 36-truck starting field will be set immediately following Sprint Cup Series qualifying. The race will be televised live on SPEED starting with a 30-minute pre-race show at 1:30 P.M. Eastern. The race can also be heard live on select affiliates of the Motor Racing Network nationwide and on Sirius NASCAR Radio Channel 128 (XM 104).
