CRAFTON: Starts Third At AMS
03-06-2010 11:22 am

ThorSport Racing's Matt Crafton will start inside the second row in the third position for the E-Z-Go 200 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Crafton drove the No. 88 Menards/Australian Gold Chevrolet to a lap of 31.317 seconds/177.028 miles per hour. Teammate Johnny Sauter qualified ninth in the No. 13 etc. EasytoInstall.com/Tim McGraw - Curb Records Chevrolet with a 31.562 second/175.654 mile per hour lap.

"We had a little help in the draft to get that fast lap in happy hour last night but we knew we had a truck strong enough to win the pole. Unfortunately we just got knocked off for the pole, which is a little disappointing, but we're here to win the race," Crafton said. "It's great to see Johnny and the 13 team get their problems from yesterday solved. It should be a fun race today. I'd like to do what we did at Vegas last fall and get another one-two finish for the team, but this time I'd like to be the one with our Menards Chevy in front at the checkered."

"The truck drove a lot better today than yesterday," Sauter said. "We weren't quite where we wanted to be so we leaned on Crafton and the 88 team a little last night and transferred some of what they had to our truck. The ThorSport Racing team has worked so hard to get both of these trucks running up at the front and capable of winning races. It's great to have etc. EasytoInstall.com and SouthernCandle.com back on board with us this weekend, we can't thank them enough for all the support they've given us so far in 2010. We'll take a starting spot up in the top ten; we can race with them from there."

The second race of the 2010 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season goes green shortly after 1:30 P.M. Eastern live on SPEED. The broadcast begins at 1 P.M. Eastern with a 30-minute pre-race show. The race can also be heard on select affiliates of the Motor Racing Network nationwide and on Sirius NASCAR Radio Channel 128.
