The Decal Source Teams With Todd Bodine to Honor Four-Man US Olympic Bobsled Gold Medalists at Atlanta

Decal Company Helps Recognize "Night Train" on #30 Germain Racing Truck

When NASCAR Truck Series driver Todd Bodine approached Tony Johnson this past week with an idea to help him honor the gold medal-winning four-man US Bobsled team, the project took a life of its own.

With Bodine's Germain Racing team facing a week with no sponsorship and the prospects of running an all-white truck in the E-Z-Go 200 at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Johnson's company, The Decal Source (TDS), stepped up to the plate and, with help from Bodine, designed a tribute of sorts to Team Holcomb and their "Night Train" four-man bobsled, who won the USA's first four-man bobsled gold medal since 1948 at the Vancouver Olympics.

The end result is a sharp-looking #30 Toyota Tundra proclaiming the gold medal, honoring Team Holcomb and the "Night Train" sled that Johnson and his TDS staff are proud to be a part of.

"Todd came to us on Monday with an idea to help honor the bobsled team and to help honor his brother Geoff for all that he has accomplished getting the US Bobsled team back to a Olympic powerhouse," said Johnson, The Decal Source's President. "Bodine was in our offices here in McLeansville sitting down with our designers and working on turning his truck from an all-white piece to a stand-out bobsled tribute that will be the focus of a lot of eyes both at the track and on the SPEED TV cameras.

"When they came up with the final product, it filled me with a sense of pride. Not only that my team here at TDS could produce such a fine looking tribute, but that we were asked to be a part of this deal. The Olympics garner so much attention and bring everyone together and that is exactly what the US Bobsled team did when they won their gold. So to be able to put something out there that just says 'thanks' to those four guys on the team and to congratulate them in another way is something I want my entire company to be a part of."

Johnson and the TDS staff donated the design time and decals for the truck, their way of helping Germain Racing and Todd Bodine get the project from a simple idea to the final product stage.

The installation staff at TDS headed to the Germain Racing shop on Wednesday morning, placing the decals on the truck before it headed to Atlanta for this weekend's Camping World Truck Series event.

"We were able to get this project on Monday and have the truck done and wrapped on Wednesday," added Johnson. "That just goes to show you the hard work our guys put into something when it is going for such a good cause. Our customer service and support on this project has been second-to-none and that is something that I've instilled into all of our guys here at the shop.

"And when we told Todd that we would be donating all of this stuff, he was elated. It's just something you like to do for a good cause and something that I would do over and over. This will be a big moral boost for our company as well, to be part of a tribute like this.

"I just hope the bobsled guys get to see it and they are happy with the final product. Its really all about them."

Watch for the #30 Team Holcumb/"Night Train"/Gold Medal Winners Toyota Tundra with driver Todd Bodine on SPEED TV this Saturday, March 6th at 1:30 pm (EST).
