Eddie Sharp, owner of Eddie Sharp Racing (ESR) in the ARCA and Carl Hartman, owner of the No. 41 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team have taken advantage of their 20 year friendship to form Sharp Hartman Racing (SHR). SHR will compete in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in the No. 41 truck with a driver to be named.
SHR will be an extension of ESR, moving from their Salisbury, North Carolina shop to the ESR facility located in Denver, NC. With Sharp's expertise, shop and personnel and Hartman's equipment coupled with NCWTS experience, the duo will combine resources in an effort to take the new venture to the next level of overall improved performance. Sharp is excited about the possibilities this partnership brings.
"This is a great opportunity to move to the next level and build a program that gives the drivers who go through ESR's ARCA program a natural step into NASCAR competition." Sharp said, "My goal is to further enhance what we have built at ESR in the ARCA Racing Series; and it is a natural fit for me to work with Carl and help him elevate his program in the truck series."
Carl Hartman shared Sharp's excitement, "I have known Eddie for a long time and have a lot of respect for his success. Having found success on my own as a short track owner, I want to elevate my truck team to get to the next level. Hopefully, this will all start in Daytona."
