SETZER: Back After Two Race Layoff
TruckSeries.com Report

SETZER ON SKIPPING IOWA & GATEWAY: "It was tough for sure to sit at home the last two weeks and lose our position in the top-10 in points. I think we were eighth in points after that strong run in Chicago. I did not want to start and park to maintain my position in the points and I knew that we were not going with the No. 8 team. But we are back at it this week and that is my focus right now. I want to make the most of the races that we do go to and concentrate on running strong and getting the best finishes that we can so we can take advantage of the opportunities that we do have here the remainder of the season and hope that leads to a full-time opportunity in 2010. I want to help Dave (Malcolmson) and this MRD Motorsports team put some great runs together so that it will help us attract some sponsorship for next season so we can make a run for the championship - this team has that capability and I want to be a part of it."

KEYS TO WINNING AT LOUDON: "Loudon is a flat track and with these types of tracks it is always crucial to rotate very well in the center and be able to get back in the gas as soon as you can to get a strong run off the corner. With the flat corners at Loudon it is important to use that horsepower all that you can as soon as you get the truck turned in the center and pointed off the corner. This No. 8 Chevrolet has great power under the hood and if we get the truck rotating like it needs to then we will be in line for another strong run this weekend."

WINNER OF EARLY RACE IN LOUDON: Dennis Setzer won one of the very first races at the 1-mile flat oval in Loudon, New Hampshire. The year the track opened, 1990, Setzer won a NASCAR Sportsman Division race which was the first race of a Triple Header that weekend involving the Busch North Series and the Modified Series.

To date, Dennis has 16 starts in NASCAR's three premier divisions at New Hampshire Motor Speedway which included a win in the 1999 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event.

SETZER'S SUCCESS AT LOUDON: "I have had a pretty good amount of success at Loudon dating all the way back to that NASCAR Sportsman win at the track in 1990. I think my short track experiences help a lot at a track such as Loudon and I am sure that has added to the success I have had. I have also been fortunate enough to be in some very good equipment over the years. But there have been times when I have had a truck better than one I have won in and things didn't turn out so great. In 2000 we had an awesome truck and my throttle stuck on the second lap of the race sending me hard into the wall and the impact broke my shoulder blade. It was one of the hardest hits I have ever taken but I was able to return the next week and win at Nazareth."

SETZER AT NEW HAMPSHIRE MOTOR SPEEDWAY: Saturday will mark Dennis Setzer's 11th career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. In the ten previous starts, Setzer has one win (1999), five top-five and six top-ten finishes. He has completed 89.8% of laps competed (1807 of 2013) and has recorded one DNF (2000). Setzer's average starting position is 16.1 and his average finishing position is 11.1 while he has led a total of 93 laps. The NASCAR veteran also has one NASCAR Sprint Cup Series start and five NASCAR Nationwide Series starts at the Loudon, New Hampshire track.
