09-08-2009 3:00 pm

Aric Almirola will take to the track at the Gateway International Raceway, Saturday, September 12, 2009 for the running of the Copart 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race in the No. 51 Miccosukee Resort/Graceway Pharmaceuticals Billy Ballew Motorsports entry.

Almirola coming off his career-best finish of second in the Camping World Truck Series at Iowa Speedway last weekend heads to Gateway looking to pick up his first win. Almirola has one previous start on the 1.25-mile track in Madison, Illinois in the NASCAR Truck Series. He posted a 10th-place finish in 2006 after starting in the 22nd position, and racing the entire race without radio communication with his team.

Billy Ballew Motorsports has nine previous starts at Gateway International Raceway with a best finish of 12th-place position in 2003.

"Coming off the second-place finish in Iowa, I'm really looking forward to getting back behind the wheel of our truck at Gateway," Aric Almirola said. "With all the momentum we've picked up from the last few races, I really feel good going into this weekend.

Gateway, in a sense, is a difficult track to set your truck up for. With turns 1 & 2 being so different to turns 3 & 4, it creates a challenge in finding a balance between the two to where you are really good in one corner and just ok in the other. Turns 1 & 2 are high banked and tight, where as turns 3 & 4 are lower banked, long and sweeping."

SPEED TV will provide live pre-race coverage of the Copart 200 (160 lap, 200 mile) NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race Saturday, September 12, 2009 beginning at 1:00pm CT. The 18th-race of the 25-race NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season is slated to begin at 1:30pm CT.
