Todd Bodine and the No. 30 Tundra enjoyed the nostalgic look of the Lumber
Liquidators colors again this weekend for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series
debut Saturday night at Iowa Speedway. The team kicked off the Iowa race weekend
in the top-ten on the practice charts for the first of four races that the No.
30 Lumber Liquidators Tundra will run in 2009.
"It was great to get to the track and put on my old Lumber Liquidators fire suit
and see the crew in black and gold again. It was something 'old' to bring to the
new experience of racing in front of the great fans at Iowa Speedway," said
Bodine who will be in Lumber Liquidators branding again at New Hampshire Motor
Speedway, Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Martinsville Speedway.
Iowa's race day brought out the Midwestern fans in droves - beginning in the
early hours of the morning.
"When the Nationwide team raced here in August, the Iowa fans came out in big
numbers. We were hoping for the same for the Truck Series, and we got it - but
we never expected to see the number of fans that showed up even before our
garage opened on race day. The support from the Iowa race fans was
overwhelming," said crew chief Mike Hillman Jr.
Bodine is ranked fifth in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series championship
standings following his 19th-place finish in the Lumber Liquidators Tundra at
Iowa Speedway. The next Lumber Liquidators Tundra race is in two weeks at New
Hampshire Motor Speedway on September 19th.
This coming weekend, watch the No. 30 Ventrilo Tundra race in the Copart 200 at
Gateway International Raceway on Saturday afternoon, September 12th.
