Notes: This being the first ever NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Iowa Speedway, Goodyear conducted a tire test at the track on May 11-12
Camping World Truck drivers that took part in that test were Colin Braun and Matt Crafton . . . also participating were NASCAR Nationwide Series drivers Justin Allgaier and Jason Leffler, in advance of their August 1 event at the speedway .
Truck Series teams will be running the same combination of left- and right-side tires that Nationwide teams ran at Iowa last month. This is the only track at which these teams will use these two tire codes together, though they will run this left-side code (D-4178) at Gateway next weekend, and have run this right-side code (D-4160) at Bristol in 2008 . . . as on most NASCAR ovals one mile or less in length, teams will not run inner liners in their tires at Iowa.
