Austin Dillon will make his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut this weekend at Iowa Speedway behind the wheel of the No. 3 Chevrolet Silverado for Richard Childress Racing. The Lucas Oil 200 NCTWS race will be televised live on SPEED at 9:30 p.m. ET Saturday night.

This will be a significant moment for RCR, which has not fielded an entry in the Truck Series since 1999. But the team and its No. 3 Chevrolets date back to the very start of the series, where the team played a critical roll in helping it get off the ground. Mike Skinner drove the No. 3 in 1995 and 1996, winning both the series' first race and its first championship in 1995.

Dillon, who is the grandson of team owner Richard Childress, will be only the third driver to drive the No. 3 RCR truck. In addition to Skinner, Jay Sauter drove the RCR Chevy from 1997 to 1999.

While Dillon will be a rookie on Saturday night, he has a fair amount of experience at Iowa Speedway, which is hosting its first Truck Series event this weekend.

Dillon has four starts at the 0.875-mile oval. He made one start in the NASCAR Nationwide Series for the series' inaugural race this season; two starts in the NASCAR Camping World Series - East where he has one pole (2008) and two top-10 finishes; and one start in the ARCA Re/MAX Series this season where he started 30th and finished second.
