● Bell at ORP The AAA Insurance 200 will mark TJ Bell's third Camping World
Truck Series start at O'Reilly Raceway Park. In 2003, Bell started 35th and
finished 25th. In 2008 he improved his performance by earning a top-10 finish.
He started 17th and finished seventh last season.
● #11 Team Starts Fresh After a bumpy start to the season, Bell and his #11 Red
Horse Racing team used the two weeks off to clean the slate and start the season
over with a fresh start. They headed to Kentucky looking at the event as race
one of the season. Starting over seemed to work for the team. Bell earned his
first top-10 start of the season, picking up the 10th starting spot in
qualifying. What happened in the race was out of Bell's control though. A blown
engine just 29 laps shy of the race's conclusion left Bell unable to finish the
race. He was disappointed in the outcome but encouraged by the marked
improvement of his team.
● New Addition to Red Horse Racing The #11 and #17 teams added a new crew member
with the addition of a team engineer. Matt Faulkner joined Red Horse Racing two
weeks ago and the team can already see improvement. Faulkner received a degree
in Manufacturing Engineering from BYU. He got his start in racing with Super
Late Models on the West Coast and moved to North Carolina to work with NASCAR
teams in 2008. On a personal note, Faulkner and his wife are expecting new
additions of their own. Twins are due in December.
TJ Bell on racing at O'Reilly Raceway Park "I really like ORP.
Last year we had a really good weekend there. Our truck was awesome and that
made the race really fun. Going to Indianapolis is always really special. Our
sport has such a rich history there and you can really feel that whenever you
are in town. I'm looking forward to Friday night. I am really excited about the
direction this team has been going. My guys build awesome pieces and our team is
getting better each and every week."
Crew Chief Rick Gay on O'Reilly Raceway Park "We are taking a
brand new truck to ORP. This truck replaced a long-time short track truck we had
that got wrecked in Martinsville earlier this year. We are anxious to see how it
performs this weekend. We have been working towards getting a feel in the trucks
that TJ really likes and we will continue down that path this weekend at ORP."
Equipment Information The #11 Red Horse Racing team will compete
with chassis # 141 in the AAA Insurance 200 at O'Reilly Raceway Park. This is a
brand new truck to the Red Horse Racing stable and Friday night will mark its
first race.
