Germain Racing driver Todd Bodine has earned three short-track race wins in his
NASCAR career. He's collected nine top-five and 19 top-ten finishes in 33 Truck
Series short-track races. Bodine and Germain Racing have put a lot of effort
into perfecting the team's short-track racing program and they are looking
forward to putting the No. 30 Ventrilo Tundra in contention for the team's first
short-track win this Friday night at O'Reilly Raceway Park in Indianapolis, IN.
"O'Reilly Raceway Park is a flat track. It's real easy to overdrive it. The
Ventrilo Tundra has got to turn good through the center to be able to drive off
the corner," explains Bodine, who loves racing at the tough, old short track.
"It gets real frustrating if the truck doesn't turn good because then it will
get loose off the corners. It takes a lot of patience to race at O'Reilly
Raceway Park and I'm looking forward to racing the Ventrilo Tundra there on
Friday night."
NASCAR Loop Data Statistics show Bodine is ranked fourth in Average Running
Position at ORP with a fifth-place driver rating of 94.1. He has finished all
but one of the 801 laps raced in his four Truck Series starts at ORP. Bodine
says understanding the performance capabilities of the No. 30 Ventrilo Tundra is
one of the keys to a strong result at ORP.
"You have to take what your truck will give you. If the Ventrilo Tundra isn't
going to win, then I have to do the best I can and take what it will give me
without pushing the issue," explained Bodine. "A lot of guys get into trouble by
driving over their heads, or driving harder than their truck will allow and you
can't do that. You have to be patient."
Bodine is ranked fourth in NASCAR Camping World Truck Series points. He has two
wins this season making his Truck Series win total 17. He races the Ventrilo
Tundra, Friday night, at ORP. Tune into to SPEED, or MRN, at 7:30 PM Eastern.

attention and know what's going on around you, and know where everyone is
running, but you definitely rely a lot on the spotter."

On Strategy for ORP
"A lot of a short track win is luck and the rest is being in a position to win.
We've won Phoenix and Gateway, two tracks that have a lot of short track
characteristics. We've worked really hard on our short track program. We'll try
to keep the Ventrilo Tundra in the top-five to be in position for a win at
O'Reilly Raceway Park."
