Aric Almirola returns to Kentucky Speedway piloting the No. 15 RedTop Auto Auction Billy Ballew Motorsports NASCAR Camping World truck in the Built Ford Tough 225 presented by the Greater Cincinnati Ford Dealers Saturday, July 18, 2009.
Almirola has one previous NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at the 1.5-mile D-shaped tri-oval racetrack and one NASCAR Nationwide Series start, finishing sixth in 2007. Billy Ballew has eight prior starts at Kentucky Speedway with a best finish of sixth place posted in 2008. This will be the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series' 10th race at Kentucky Speedway and in the past nine races there has not been a repeat winner.
"I'm very excited to race at Kentucky, I know I say that about every track, but I'm just excited to be able to race!" Almirola explains. "Working with Rickie (Wauters) and the crew on the No. 15 truck has been great and we look to improve our finish from Memphis this weekend in Kentucky. It's awesome to race at Kentucky because they draw such a large crowd there for any race that's being held."
"We were able to shake the truck down last week at Rockingham and we didn't even need to stay past the lunch break. Richie (Wauters) and the crew had the truck really fast, so we worked on a few different set-ups and finished up before the session was over."
RedTop Auto Auction, a division of Auction Broadcasting Company, LLC will serve as the primary sponsor on the No. 15 Billy Ballew Motorsports truck.
