BUESCHER: Hoping To Build On Kentucky Success

For a rookie in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, seeing a race track for the second time in the span of a calendar year is a great thing. In James Buescher's case, coming to Kentucky Speedway is a reason to be hopeful.

Buescher scored an ARCA RE/MAX Series win at the 1.5-mile facility in May and made his second career NASCAR Nationwide Series start at the track in 2008. To say the 19-year-old Buescher is familiar with Kentucky is an understatement.

This Saturday night, Buescher and his Circle Bar Racing team hope to compete for a sound finish in the Built Ford Tough 225. Buescher is on the prowl for what would be his second top-five finish in Truck Series competition behind the wheel of the No. 10 International MaxxForce Diesel Ford F-150.

Buescher is currently 15th in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series standings, 474 points out of the lead.

Watch James in the Built Ford Tough 225, airing Saturday night on SPEED at 6:30 pm EST. The race will also be broadcast live on local MRN Radio affiliates and Sirius-XM Satellite Radio.

Thoughts on racing at Kentucky...

Having won an ARCA race here earlier this year, how confident are you headed into the weekend?

"I think we've got a chance to do really well this weekend. I've got a lot of laps at this place and picked up the ARCA win here in the spring. As a team, we've had some good race trucks on the mile-and-a-half (tracks) this year so there are a lot of reasons to be optimistic. I know the Ford people will be in Kentucky for this race so I can't wait to go out and represent the Ford brand and International Maxx Force Diesel well."
