ICKLER: Makes First NCWTS Start At Kentucky
07-14-2009 7:37 pm
Brian Ickler will make his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at
Kentucky Speedway Saturday, July 18, 2009 piloting the No. 51 RedTop Auto
Auction Toyota Tundra in the running of the Built Ford Tough 225 presented by
the Greater Cincinnati Ford Dealers race.
Ickler has one previous start at the 1.5-mile D-shaped tri-oval in the ARCA
RE/MAX Series finishing in the fourth place position after starting the event in
the 33rd-place. Billy Ballew Motorsports has eight prior starts at Kentucky
Speedway. Kyle Busch posted the team's best finish of sixth place in 2008 after
leading 43 laps.
Ickler will run a double header Saturday at the Sparta, Kentucky racetrack,
first in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race and will immediately jump
into his ARCA RE/MAX Series car for the Click It or Ticket Buckle-Up Kentucky
150 race.
"Driving in two series doesn't really present a problem," Ickler said. "Driving
the ARCA car gives me more track time to get the feel of it for when I am
running in the Camping World Truck. Kentucky is a neat track for the drivers and
especially the fans. I am looking forward to racing under the lights in both the
Truck and ARCA car. Night races produce some great action and I'm sure there
will be a lot Saturday night in Kentucky."
The Built Ford Tough 225 (150 laps, 225 Miles) presented by the Greater
Cincinnati Ford Dealers NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race is slated to
begin at 7:00pm ET Saturday, July 18, 2009. SPEED will broadcast qualifying same
day tape delayed Saturday beginning at 5:00pm with race coverage beginning at
6:30pm ET.
