COMPTON: Looks For First Win At Memphis

COMPTON RETURNS TO SITE OF FIRST WYLER WIN:
Stacy Compton has been successful at Memphis Motorsports Park in the past, but has fallen just short of the win. He may have his best shot ever after teaming up with Wyler Racing, the 2006 winner's of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at the 0.75-mile oval. "I think we've got as good of a shot at Memphis as any that we've had all year - even with as well as we have run at Martinsville and at Milwaukee last week," said Compton. "Memphis is probably stronger race track for us than even Martinsville. We're all pretty excited to go to Memphis." The Wyler Racing team led 133 laps from the pole position in 2006 with Jack Sprague behind the wheel to claim their first win in NASCAR.

COMPTON'S GOALS FOR MEMPHIS AND BEYOND:
"I think we've got to go to the race track and finish in the top-five," Compton explained. "I think Marcus (Richmond, Crew Chief) and I are starting to figure each other out a little bit better. We're starting to figure out what the trucks need too. In the scheme of things, we know we've gotten the race team better in the last four weeks but our finishes just haven't showed. We've got to close the deal. We've got to finish these races where we're running and finish where we're capable of finishing."

THE CREW CHIEF'S CHOICE FOR MEMPHIS:
Marcus Richmond, Crew Chief of the No. 60 SafeAuto Insurance Company / Wyler.com Toyota Tundra, has selected chassis number 91 for the MemphisTravel.com 200. This chassis was last raced in the AAA Insurance 200 on May 29th at Dover International Speedway where it produced a 13th place finish. "It is the same truck we ran at Martinsville and Dover," said Richmond. This chassis produced one of the team's season best finishes (sixth) when it was raced in Martinsville earlier this year.

TELEVISION SCHEDULE: Saturday, June 27, 2009: Qualifying, 2 p.m. ET; Race, 5:30 p.m. ET on SPEED TV.

COMPTON'S CAREER AT MEMPHIS MOTORSPORTS PARK:

Memphis Motorsports Park is the site where Stacy Compton led 22 laps last year in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race, which is the most by a driver who has not won at Memphis and is entered in Saturday's race. Only eight drivers entered in Saturday's race have led a lap at Memphis according to NASCAR. Compton's best NCWTS finish at MMP actually came in 1999 when Compton qualified 12th and finished fourth while driving for David Hodson. Compton also has five starts in the NASCAR Nationwide Series at MMP, with his best performance coming when he qualified eighth and went on to finish second in 2002. Compton has completed all but two laps of competition in his nine previous starts at MMP.
