McCumbee began the day in 11th position and ran in the top 15 during the opening laps. The truck was tight handling, however McCumbee was spun by another truck early on during the event loosing 2 laps and making pit stop adjustments from flat spotting the tires.

On lap 55 a caution was out where Chad was awarded the "lucky dog" making up one lap. Then following a caution on lap 142 of the 200-lap event Chad restarted in the 17th position one lap down.Chad remained in the top 20 until lap 189 when debris hit the truck damaging a belt on the engine causing a failure and McCumbee's day was over finishing in the 25th position. The event which was won by veteran driver Ron Hornaday would led 180 of the 200 laps.

"We had a tough go in practice, but Bobby and the SS Green Light guys worked hard on our tiwi Chevy," said McCumbee. "The guys did a great job and it is unfortunate how we ended our day." "I want to thank tiwi for coming on board with us, they have been just a fantastic partner for these first three races and we are really trying to build something with them. The tiwi is a fantastic product for families with teen drivers. We would not have been able to make it to the Mile without their last-minute support. tiwi will be on our truck for at least three more races. Kentucky in July, Chicago in August and Las Vegas in September," McCumbee said. "I also want to thank the Lynch Superstore for helping us out this weekend."

The NCWTS will travel to the Memphis Motorsports Park on Saturday June 27th for the "MemphisTravel.com 200 presented by O'Reilly Auto Parts."
