HORNADAY: Heads To Milwaukee Mile

GOING ALL THE WAY: The Milwaukee Mile is one of six tracks on the current NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule where Hornaday has completed every lap of competition in each race he has entered. The others are: Kansas Speedway, Memphis Motorsports Park, Kentucky Speedway, Talladega Superspeedway and Homestead-Miami Speedway.

POINTS SCORER: According to NASCAR's Loop Data statistics over the last four races at The Milwaukee Mile, Hornaday has earned 661 championship points, more than any other driver.

DOUBLE DUTY: Hornaday will climb behind the wheel of the No. 33 Nationwide Series entry for Kevin Harvick Inc. this weekend. This will be Hornaday's first race in the Nationwide Series in 2009. Hornaday will also do double duty in July at O'Reilly Raceway Park.

Notes from the Professor: Quotes from Ron Hornaday:

CAN YOU COMPARE THE MILWAUKEE MILE TO ANY OTHER TRACK?

"Every track is different and unique in its own way. If I had to compare it to one track it would probably be Phoenix. Both are a mile in length and relatively flat. Milwaukee's corners are banked higher than Phoenix but all in all they have very similar characteristics."

WHY DO YOU THINK YOU HAVE BEEN SO SUCCESSFUL AT MILWAUKEE?

"Over the past few years, we have just been really fortunate to have the support of great sponsors and a team that works hard to give me a fast truck week in and week out. I grew up racing at flat-mile tracks like Milwaukee and I have a better feel for a track like this than I do at others. I have been lucky to stay out of trouble and be there when it mattered at the end. I have only won here once so I would really like to get another trophy for the mantle."

THIS WEEKEND YOU WILL BE DRIVING TWO NO. 33 VEHICLES FOR KHI IN THE TRUCK AND NATIONWIDE SERIES. IS THAT A CHALLENGE?

"When you have owners like Kevin and DeLana who ask you to drive their equipment, you jump at the chance. I love to race. I could jump in a car or truck five days a week and not get enough. It is challenging going from one to the other, but fortunately for me each series has a one day show so I don't have to jump out of my truck and into the car and then back into the truck. That might be a little more difficult."

CHASSIS HISTORY: The No. 33 Copart team will bring chassis No.027 to The Milwaukee Mile. In 2008 truck No. 027 went to victory lane at Gateway International Raceway and New Hampshire. The truck was completely rebuilt following a lap one crash in Phoenix. In 2009, truck No. 027 returned to the track at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway finishing second to KHI co-owner Kevin Harvick.

PREVIOUS RACE RECAP: Last week at Michigan International Speedway, Hornaday and the No. 33 team overcame two on-track incidents to finish seventh, recording their seventh top-10 finish of 2009. Hornaday remains in the second position in the point standings 39 markers behind Matt Crafton.
