WHAT MAKES MICHIGAN SUCH A DIFFICULT TRACK? "I've had a couple of good runs at Michigan. We have finished in the top 10 there a couple of times. Michigan is a lot like California as far as the layout, but for some reason it doesn't drive like California. I think we may have learned some things over the past couple of races at Michigan that can make us better this time so we'll just have to go out see what we have in practice. I know Rick Ren (crew chief) and the guys will get the truck where it needs to be for us to run well. We would have had a good finish there last year but got caught up with Kyle (Busch) there at the end. I look forward to going to Chevrolet's headquarters and putting this fast Silverado up front."
CHASSIS HISTORY: The No. 33 Turtle Wax team will bring chassis No.028 to MIS. Last season, Jack Sprague sat on the outside pole at MIS in truck No. 028. Following an on-track accident at Las Vegas Motor Speedway last fall, chassis No. 028 was completely rebuilt and taken to the finale at Homestead-Miami where KHI co-owner Kevin Harvick drove to a third-place finish. Earlier this season chassis No. 028 was piloted by Ricky Carmichael at Auto Club (Calif.) Speedway, earning the rookie his best career finish of eighth.
PREVIOUS RACE RECAP: Last week at Texas Motor Speedway the No. 33 Chevrolet finished 19th after an oil pump belt came loose with eight laps remaining in the event. With the finish the No. 33 team fell to second in the point standings 30 markers behind Matt Crafton.
