BODINE: Repeat Winner at Kansas?

Carrying the colors of Flagship Industries' Ventrilo 3.0.0 Surround Sound Voice Communication Software, Todd Bodine will be instantly recognizable to the online gaming community when he fires up the No. 30 Ventrilo Tundra at Kansas Speedway. Bodine, who will also be recognized as a previous Kansas race winner, stands to become the track's first repeat winner in Saturday's O'Reilly's Auto Parts 250. He has one victory and three top-ten finishes in five NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races at Kansas and is currently ranked second in the championship standings.

"I'm very excited about our new relationship with Ventrilo and Flagship Industries," said Todd Bodine, the 2006 Truck Series champion. "The No. 30 Ventrilo Tundra was very fast last year at Kansas. We have a win there and with all we've learned this season, I'm looking forward to giving the folks at Flagship Industries a great performance and a lot of exposure for the Ventrilo brand. We became the first repeat winners at Daytona in February, and I think we have a great shot at doing it again at Kansas."

Bodine trails points leader Kyle Busch by 38 in the championship standings. Busch, a regular Sprint Cup Series racer, is not entered in this week's Truck Series race leaving Bodine to fight for the points lead with the two nearest contenders - Ron Hornaday Jr. and Mike Skinner, both former series champs.

"Before we won our championship, I'd say there was no such thing as points racing. That just isn't true, there is points racing, but now isn't the time to worry about it. We have prepared the Ventrilo Tundra to win the race at Kansas Speedway and that's the only thing we're focused on," said crew chief Mike Hillman Jr.

Hillman admits that heading to Kansas Speedway; however, is always a little extra special since the track is where he and Bodine first went to victory lane together, and it's where the crew chief/driver pairing established themselves as true leaders in the Truck Series garage.

"It's always cool to go back to the first place you ever won a race as a crew chief. Kansas is where we started collecting really strong top-three finishes and wins in 2005. We followed it up in 2006 with the championship. Hopefully we can put the Ventrilo Tundra in victory lane at Kansas, take the points lead, and do things the way we did in 2006 (when we held the lead for 21-straight races)," said Hillman, who also was named Crew Chief of the Year in 2005, his rookie season atop the pit box.
