TruckSeries.com Report

In three NCWTS races in 2009, Toyota Tundra drivers have combined for three wins (Todd Bodine -- Daytona; Busch -- California and Atlanta), 11 top-five and 18 top-10 results … In addition, Tundra drivers have recorded two poles and led 203 laps … Toyota captured its second-consecutive NCWTS manufacturer's championship at Martinsville Speedway in October 2007 when Mike Skinner recorded the victory … 'Mad Max' Papis returns to the NCWTS this weekend at Martinsville, making his second series start of 2009 in the No. 9 GEICO Tundra.

JOHNNY BENSON, No. 1 Red Horse Racing Tundra, Red Horse Racing

Why have you been so successful at Martinsville?

"Martinsville has been a good track for me, so we look for this weekend to be a good one for us. Last year, we had a truck to win both races, but sometimes it doesn't work out that way. Winning at Martinsville last fall was really cool. I have run well there in the past but that was my first win there, so it was special. That win really gave us the extra confidence we needed, especially in such a tight battle for the championship."

TIMOTHY PETERS, No. 17 Strutmasters Tundra, Premier Racing

What is so special about Martinsville to you?

"I love it because it's my hometown track. We have had success there in almost every Late Model or truck race we've been in. I don't know if my driving style just suits that place or what, but I just love it. It's my favorite track to go to on the whole circuit. It's important to keep up your speed through the center of the corner and get that hard drive off. We're in the position where we need some sponsorship to keep this thing going, and we're fortunate enough to have Strutmasters step up for a few more races. At Martinsville, we know that anything can happen, but we definitely want to do good in front of the hometown folks."
