The Circle Bar/International Truck and Engine team will utilize chassis CB-21 this weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway. This is the same chassis Crawford drove to a 14th-place finish two weeks ago at Auto Club Speedway in California. Chassis CB-21 is the team's workhorse on the intermediate tracks, and was raced a total of seven times in 2008.
Crawford scored his third career Camping World Truck Series pole at Atlanta in 2005, setting the track record with a speed of 182.735 mph (30.339 seconds). In 299 career Camping World Truck Series starts, Crawford has posted 150 top-10 finishes - a mark of 50.2%.
In his truck series career, Crawford has been running at the finish of 269 races, the most of any driver in the series and a mark of 90.0%. Crawford has logged over 51,000 miles in NASCAR Camping World Truck Series competition, the most of any driver in the series.
Crawford will make his 300th start - extending a Series record - this weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Crawford's impressive string of race starts began at the Walt Disney World Speedway on January 19, 1997. To commemorate the event, the team will run a special hood decal on Crawford's No. 14 International Truck & Engine Ford.
Crawford's Thoughts on AMS:
"Atlanta is one of the fastest tracks on the Camping World Truck Series schedule, and it usually provides some of the most exciting racing for the fans. We're taking the same truck we raced at California, but we've made some changes to the truck that we hope will make it handle better on the speedways. The team that runs around there wide open the longest is going to be the one to beat. "
ON HIS 300th CAREER TRUCK SERIES START:
"It's not only an honor to make my 300th truck series start this weekend at Atlanta, but it is a tribute that each and every one of them has come with Mr. Mitchell in the No. 14 Ford. When we started this deal in 1997, we had only one truck and one engine. Through hard work and determination, we have grown Circle Bar Racing into the two-truck operation that it has become today. It hasn't been the easiest task, but Mr. Mitchell has given us all the tools necessary to succeed and the rewards have been plenty."
