After Todd Bodine steered the No. 30 Toyota Tundra of Germain Racing to a second-place finish in California, the phones began to ring at the race shop with sponsorship inquiries. Add this to the competitive momentum and the success the driver and team are known for at Atlanta, top it off with a little more help from team sponsor GEICO and you have a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team that's confident and anxious to get to Atlanta Motor Speedway for Saturday's American Commercial Lines 200.

"Atlanta's been one of those tracks I've run good at - whether it's the old configuration, new configuration, Cup Series, the former Busch Series or Truck Series - it doesn't matter. I've always run well at Atlanta Motor Speedway. I like the track and that gives you confidence going there," said Bodine, who's Atlanta stats include his first Truck Series career pole, a win, four top-five and five top-ten finishes in a Tundra, three top-five and four top-ten finishes in NNS and two top-five and four top-ten finishes in NASCAR's highest division, the Sprint Cup Series.

The Hampton, Ga., race track has a lot of racing grooves and a lot of opportunities for veteran drivers to use their skills.

"Atlanta is a neat track. It has a lot of momentum - the closer to wide open you can run the faster you can go. It's a lot of fun on old tires," said Bodine. "It really gets to be fun on older tires when you start slipping and sliding and you can make a difference (in your lap speeds) with what you do as a driver."

Bodine shared some of his driving knowledge with a handful of rookie drivers in California. He says do it again at Atlanta.

"My teammate, Max Papis, and some of the other rookie drivers asked me to take them around the track at Fontana. If they ask again at Atlanta, I'm happy to do it," said Bodine, who enjoys answering questions from fellow drivers - rookies or veterans. "I just tell them the little things that take a while to learn. I tell them the line and the subtle things about the track that they would end up learning. It's a learning process. I just try to help them speed it up."

Bodine hopes that having Papis, who drives the GEICO Camry in Sprint Cup Series competition for Germain Racing, as a Truck Series teammate again in Atlanta will produce the same kind of results as it did in Fontana where both trucks finished in the top ten.

"The idea for Max to drive the GEICO Tundra is just to get some more laps on the track. He was able to learn a lot in our last Truck Series race, in California, and he learned a lot on Sunday in Las Vegas in the GEICO Camry. I look forward to answering any questions he has and helping GEICO get another top-ten finish in the Truck Series. GEICO is helping the No. 30 Toyota Tundra again at Atlanta and everyone at Germain Racing appreciates it," said Bodine. "With any luck, we'll give GEICO another pair of top-ten finishes this week in Atlanta."

Crew chief Mike Hillman Jr. has prepared the same Tundra that Bodine drove to victory lane to close out the 2008 season at Homestead-Miami Speedway - also the same Tundra that got the phones ringing with a second-place finish in Fontana.

"We're taking this Tundra because of its recent successes. This chassis has momentum on its side, our driver is comfortable with it and with any luck, she'll be wearing some fresh sponsorship decals before she gets called back into action," said Hillman, who will probably not take this chassis to the next race - Martinsville.

In recent years, the Truck Series has continued to gain viewers on SPEED Channel and has picked up two race broadcasts annually on FOX. Germain Racing has delivered strong visibility to team sponsors on SPEED and FOX. Collecting 17 wins and six pole awards in the team's short history has made Germain Racing one of the elite teams in the Truck Series garage.

"We know we have a great opportunity here for sponsors, whether they want to come on board with us for a race or two, or for the remainder of the season. NASCAR has a great group of competitors in the Truck Series and SPEED Channel and FOX do an outstanding job delivering our show to the race fans. Now more than ever advertisers need to make sure that they are getting their message to the target audience for a good price and I don't know how you can find a better deal than what we have at Germain Racing in the Truck Series," said Hillman.
