The Houston, Texas native will be making his 10th NASCAR Camping World Truck
Series start at Atlanta Motor Speedway this weekend. He has scored one top-five
and one top-10 finish in those trucks starts in 2005.
Starr has completed 89.6 percent of all the laps he has attempted on the
1.54-mile oval.
Starr will be racing Toyota Tundra truck No. HT-15. This particular chassis
raced two weeks ago in California and last season at Nashville Superspeedway,
where it ran third for a lot of the race.
David the Designer: "I am a real hands-on type of person at all aspects
of my racing. This week I gave my input on a t-shirt design that Zachry created
for their employees. It is important to me that all the things out there with my
name, or likeness, or the team's name on it have a good look. And I like that
side of racing too. We are fortunate that we have a sponsor who is behind HT
Motorsports and willing to go above and beyond the ordinary sponsorship to help
promote our team and myself. I just want to make sure it all looks the best it
can fo! r that."
On Racing In Atlanta: "We are jazzed up coming off a fourth-place finish
at a speedway track. When you have finishes that are strong like that, it always
bleeds over into the next weekend's race. Atlanta and California are so similar
and both of them have a lot of grooves. This team really worked hard to have the
right pit strategy and find the right combination on the race track last
weekend. They did a great pit stop right when it mattered the most and I know we
can play off of that again. I! am glad that we are finding our groove so early
in the season because I know it will continue to show in our finishes."
