Federated Auto Parts has officially announced their partnership with Key
Motorsports in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. The company, which appeared on the
No. 40 Federated Auto Parts Impala SS driven by Scott Wimmer in Las Vegas this
past weekend, will also serve as the team's primary sponsor for the Federated
Auto Parts 300 at Nashville Superspeedway in June.
"We were very satisfied with the results of this weekend's race at Las Vegas
Motor Speedway," said J.R. Bishop, director of motorsports and event marketing
for Federated Auto Parts. "We are very impressed by the quick success of this
team in their first full-time Nationwide Series effort, and we look forward to
continuing our relationship with Key Motorsports."
Scott Wimmer drove the Federated Auto Parts Chevy to a hard fought 11th place
finish at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. "I was happy to hear that Federated was
coming aboard," said Wimmer. "I look forward to flying the Federated colors
again at Nashville and would love to drive these guys to victory in the
Federated 300."
Key Motorsports and the NASCAR Nationwide Series will return to the track after
a two-week hiatus at Bristol Motor Speedway on March 21st. The Federated Auto
Parts 300 at Nashville Superspeedway will air on ESPN2 at 7:00 PM EST on
Saturday, June 6th.
