Pit Stops: "It's going to take a lot to get used to with the new pit stop rules like we have now.  It's weird coming in for gas and an adjustment and then going back out on the track to catch up and come back in again for tires.  We got off sequence with our teammate in Daytona and that's when it got hairy with Terry (Cook) and me trying to drive around each other on pit road.  I think it is a great thing for the sport and NASCAR has everyone's best interest in mind when they made these rules.  It will just take some practicing and running through different scenarios when we go to these races.  It will all iron itself out."

The Houston, Texas native will be making his 12th NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at Auto Club Speedway this weekend.  He has scored three top-five and three top-10 finishes in those trucks starts.

David Starr is no stranger to leading in California.  He has led 71 laps at the two-mile D-shaped oval.  

This weekend Starr will be racing Toyota Tundra truck No. HT-15.  This particular chassis raced last season at Nashville Superspeedway and ran third for a lot of the race.  It also raced in Las Vegas but was wrecked in practice. 

California Here We Come: "I really like racing in California.  The track is getting so much better every time we race on it.  You can almost pick three lanes there to race.  It gets dicey at times but that is how we drivers like it. I like these big tracks because they give us a lot of excitement behind the wheel."

Getting Into the Groove: "It's great to be back behind the wheel of a Tundra.  Man, racing at Daytona with all the excitement it brings and then going the very next week to California is great.  It seems like with how crazy things get in the off season that being at the track is better.  It's always a lot of last minute deals, which really happened to us switching teams this year.  But I know I've found a great home with HT Motorsports and I'm looking forward to an exciting race season with them."
