NASCAR CAMPING WORLD TRUCK SERIES SCORES ANOTHER DOUBLE-DIGIT RATINGS INCREASE ON SPEED™

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series on SPEED picked up right where it left off in 2008 with a double-digit Nielsen Ratings increase from the season opener in Daytona.

The Friday night race, won by Todd Bodine, scored a Nielsen mark of 1.90 (1,393,000 households), making it the No. 1 show on cable during that time period. The rating marked an increase of 21 percent from last year's 1.57 (1,128,000 households). The race broadcast peaked at a 2.28 (1,673,000 households), up 29 percent from last year's peak of 1.77 (1,272,000 households).

"It was another fantastic race and a great way to start the 2009 season," said SPEED President Hunter Nickell. "The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is loaded with great storylines and we're jacked up about how the audience continues to respond."

In addition to the race, SPEED's pre-race show, NCWTS Setup hosted by Krista Voda, scored a Nielsen Rating of .80 (585,000 households), up 33 percent from last year's .60 (434,000 households).

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series enjoyed its most-watched season to date in 2008, as 19 of the 22 races on SPEED saw year-to-year Nielsen Ratings increases, 15 in double digits.

The next Truck race will be on FOX Saturday at 3 p.m. ET from Auto Club Speedway in California, with Darrell Waltrip, Larry McReynolds and Mike Joy in the booth; Chris Myers, Jeff Hammond and Phil Parsons in the Hollywood Hotel and Krista Voda, Dr. Dick Berggren and Matt Yocum in the pits. The series returns to SPEED on March 7 at 1 p.m. from Atlanta Motor Speedway.
