Braun on racing at Auto Club Speedway: "We are heading to California with some great momentum from Daytona. I'm a little disappointed since we had a truck capable of winning, but coming out of Daytona with a top-10 finish is great. We won the pole, led some laps and were there at the end with a shot to win."
"California should be a good race for us too. It's fun because it's so wide there are a lot of different lines you can run. We tested our California truck at Rockingham last month and learned a lot of things that will apply not only to California, but many of the intermediate tracks. I'd like to improve on the top 10 we got there last year."
Crew chief Mike Beam on racing at Auto Club Speedway: "California can be challenging since the surface is pretty rough and worn out, the trucks really slide around a lot. You need to have a good pit strategy to keep fresh tires on the truck at the end if possible. The long straights make drafting important, and you need good horsepower to be able to pull out and make a pass. Colin had a good run there last year, so we're looking to better that."
-Braun will be racing chassis RK-43 at California. This truck won at California in '06 with Mark Martin, and won at Michigan, Nashville & Vegas in '07 with Travis Kvapil.
-Braun earned his first career NASCAR top-10 finish at California last year with a ninth-place finish.
-Braun earned his first career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series pole at Daytona last week. He also has two Nationwide poles (Mexico City and ORP in 2008).
