The Sylvania, Ohio native will be making his 10th NASCAR Camping World Series
start at Daytona International Speedway this Friday. He has scored one pole
starting position, two top-five and six top-10 finishes in those trucks starts.
Cook has also led 45 laps at Daytona in a truck.
Cook will pilot "Freak" this Friday. This particular truck was bought two weeks
before the haulers were scheduled to leave for Daytona's opening race. After it
raced last season, the truck caught on fire by a freak accident sitting on the
dyno one night. It was only a body and bare chassis when the team acquired the
truck. The team changed the nose and tail on the truck, and did a completely new
assembly to get the truck ready in time to leave for Daytona.
The proven winner Freak did not let the team down when they took the newly
assembled truck to the wind tunnel and posted one of the best drag numbers this
team has dealt with in this configuration. The closest competitor is the new
truck designed after Freak which belongs to teammate David Starr.
This truck is no stranger to victory lane in Daytona. It has three victories to
its credit at the superspeedway. One of those races was won from the pole
starting position and the Crew Chief of the team was Danny Rollins. This victory
was Rollins first race as a Crew Chief.

services provided by Cajun include civil, mechanical, deep foundations, offshore
and inland marine construction, and specialized heavy equipment hauling. Cajun
Industries will be featured on the No. 25 HT Motorsports Tundra, the No. 90 and
No. 91 hoods for MSRP Racing in the Nationwide Series and the No. 00 Aaron's
Dream Machine with driver David Reutimann in the Sprint Cup Series.
Reunited with the No. 25: "The first number I ever raced with was the No.
25. It was my team; we ran out it ourselves and were very successful with that
number. So when Jim (Harris) decided to change our numbers this year, he picked
the No. 24 and No. 25 teams. Interestingly enough I told him, 'Hey you know that
I've won like over 20 races in that number?' So if tradition holds true then we
will both be happy with the choice."
On Having a Teammate: "HT Motorsports has a new look this year with two
teams. Jim (Harris) has a great group of guys behind him and two very excited
drivers ready to win him some races. David (Starr) and I both being veterans
will really help us technology wise and hopefully help us make up a lot of
ground faster during practices when we share information. I've got complete
confidence in this team and really enjoy racing with them."
Picking up Where you Left Off: "At the end of last year, it seemed like we were
on rails. I swear our team felt like we won the championship battling to stay in
the top 10 in points. It was a constant battle and a huge points race for us
just like the champions. But in the end we finished where our goal was and that
was a huge accomplishment for all of us. I really enjoy working with Danny
(Rollins). He is in tune to me as a driver and my needs. So with him leading our
team, I just get in and am the driver. That's when it is fun to get on the race
track. We trust each other and that is very important."
Cook on a new season: "I'm just like every other driver out there that is
ready to get back behind a wheel. It's been great seeing the cup guys on the
track and seeing how they are all doing in the draft. I mean we saw Kevin
Harvick come from the middle to win the race, so that tells us that Daytona is
just as dicey as it always has been."
