SETZER: Makes 14th Start at HMS

The North Carolina native will be making his 14th NASCAR start at Homestead-Miami Speedway. He has 10 previous NCTS starts at the 1.5-mile oval. He has scored four top-10 finishes in those trucks starts.

Setzer has scored nine top-10 starting spots in the last 11 events. He currently sits eighth in the NCTS Championship Point standings.

Setzer will pilot "VIPER" on Friday evening. Setzer drove this particular chassis at Gateway earlier this season to a runner up finish.

The No. 18 Dodge will be showcasing the Rob Lambdin's University Dodge paint scheme during the Ford 200. The University Dodge was the outstanding sales performer selling more Dodge vehicles than all the surrounding dealerships, thus winning the prize to sponsor Setzer's No. 18 Dodge Ram at Miami this weekend.

BHR Flashback: HMS was the site of Bobby Hamilton Sr.'s fourth career NCTS victory. He led 67 laps in the final race of the 2003 season to take home the checkered flag over veteran Rick Crawford. It was his second victory of that season and his BHR's only victory at the 1.5-mile oval.

Setzer on the Oh So Tight Point's Battle: "Hands down the truck series has the best championship show down heading into Homestead this weekend. What I love about it is that we don't just have a great battle one year and then a not so great one the next. Every year our championship comes down to the final race. I think it has to do with the fact we only have 25 events and that our races are shorter. The battle is so tight this year the other drivers and teams in the garage are having fun watching it. I just cannot imagine being (Ron) Hornaday or (Johnny) Benson right now. Three points is such a small margin and it is by no means a comfort zone. I have been in the guy in second place heading into Homestead and the best advice I can give them to keep doing what they have been doing. There is a reason they are where they are in the standings."
