It Got Downright Scary at Texas Motor Speedway

pre-race Halloween fun on Friday evening

NCTS Setup, the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series pre-race show on SPEED, stunned drivers, viewers and onlookers Friday at Texas Motor Speedway with its selection of attire for the on-air crew.

Stunned, amused or frightened, depending on whom you ask …

Krista Voda, host of NCTS Setup, set the festive mood for the evening with her Wicked Witch of the West costume from the "Wizard of Oz," complete with green make-up and her masterful "witchy" voice. Ray Dunlap by far was the most disturbing with his rendition of Dorothy, including red ruby slippers, pigtails, blue and white dress and Toto. Blush and eyeliner perfectly set off Dunlap's trademark brown moustache.

Next up was Adam Alexander as Glenda the Good Witch, adorned in a full-length pink gown and magic wand, who elicited an unforgettable reaction from NASCAR Camping World Truck Series championship contender Ron Hornaday. Hornaday, never at a loss for words, said he was "speechless" and struggled to make eye contact when interviewed by Glenda Adams.

Rounding out the "Wizard of Oz" SPEED television crew was Rick Allen as the Tin Man, Phil Parsons as the Scarecrow and Michael Waltrip as the Cowardly Lion.

Fortunately, the regular SPEED on-air crew will return next Friday at Phoenix International Raceway for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race (8 p.m. ET; NCTS Setup at 7:30 p.m. ET).
