NOTES:
This week's race truck for Texas Motor Speedway is Chassis No. 22-126. Chassis No. 22-126 is the same truck the team finished fifth with last Saturday at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Need a Red Bull? Red Bull, the leader in energy drinks, will serve as the primary sponsor of the No. 22 Bill Davis Racing entry Friday at Texas Motor Speedway.
Second Chance
Scott Speed competed in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Texas Motor Speedway earlier this season. The NASCAR rookie started shotgun on the field and battled his way into the top five before becoming caught up in an incident with only a handful of laps remaining in the event.
Double Duty
Speed will again pull double duty this weekend in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and the Craftsman Truck Series. This will mark Speed's third time racing in both divisions on the same weekend, and he will do the same twice more this year (Phoenix and Homestead).
Good Morning Texas
Speed will appear on ABC affiliate WFAA's "Good Morning Texas" Thursday, Nov. 6 at 9 a.m. He will be joined by Texas Motor Speedway President Eddie Gossage.
Cattle, Anyone? Team owner Bill Davis will be busy this weekend. Not only will he attend the weekend's activities at TMS, he will also be at his ranch in Concord, Ark., for the second-annual Chimney Rock 500, the premiere Brangus cattle sale. The two-day event will begin Thursday afternoon with a commercial female sale, then carry into Friday for the registered herd sale. The event will attract more than 1,000 cattlemen from all over the world to the state-of-the-art facility on Davis' ranch. Listen and Watch
The Silverado 350K is scheduled to start at 9 p.m. EST, Friday, Oct. 31. It will broadcast on SPEED (TV), MRN (radio) and Sirius Satellite Radio (Ch. 128).
Scott Speed's Racing Quotes:
Scott Speed on racing at Texas Motor Speedway: "We had a great race here in the spring when I had to start from the tail of the field. We managed to work our way through to the front until the craziness at the end, so needless to say, I am looking forward to racing there again this weekend."
