SPRAGUE: Aiming to Revisit Victory Lane at Texas

Jack Sprague and Wyler Racing return to Texas Motor Speedway where the Three-Time NCTS Champion hopes to add to his impressive resume. Sprague has earned two wins and was close to garnering his third in this race last fall before a late race tangle ended his hopes of victory.

SPRAGUE ON TMS:  "For whatever reason, Texas is one of those tracks that I have always done very well at.  I have won a few times there and should have won this race last year but we got wrecked on the restart with only a few laps to go.  While Texas is very similar to the other fast 1.5-mile tracks such as Lowe's and Atlanta, it is unique with the bump they have down there in turn one and that makes it different.

SPRAGUE ON WHAT YOU MAY SEE AT TEXAS: "The races at Texas can really be unpredictable.  Last year was a prime example and I think the top five or six trucks all were wrecked in the last 10 laps or so and there was Ted Musgrave back there just keeping his nose clean and he ends up in Victory Lane.  Also, it is common to get some long green flag runs which can result in green flag pit stops and then you see many different strategies with tires and such.  I am sure we will have something unpredictable happen on Friday night once again and with it being Halloween night who knows - it should be interesting."

SPRAGUE ON GREEN-WHITE-CHECKERED FINISHES: (Note - the last five NCTS races at TMS have ended in G-W-C finish) "I really do not know why we have so many G-W-C finishes at TMS.  If you look at it we tend to get those long green flag runs and the field can really get spread out.  But then for some reason when we get down towards the end of the race it all just changes and we tend to get those late cautions and from there it always seems to get a little crazy.  Maybe it is coincidence - but either way I think you can count on an exciting finish for the fans.  We all say that the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series racing is the most exciting racing out there and you can point to our races here in Texas as a prime example.  It may be unexplainable but pretty much you can count on one heck of a finish on Friday night."

SPRAGUE ON HIS FAVORITE HALLOWEEN MEMORY: "For me my most memorable Halloween's have come with my daughter Paige.  I had so much joy when she was growing up and helping her pick out that special costume and then taking her around the neighborhood.  We would then come home and empty out that bag and see what she came home with.  Those are my greatest memories of Halloween.  Paige has grown up on me too quickly so this time of the year I reflect back on those special times with her when she was younger."

FREAKY FRIDAY:  Friday night's race at Texas Motor Speedway will be the second NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on Halloween Night.  The first Halloween race took place in 2003 at Phoenix International Raceway, as Kevin Harvick claimed the victory and received the best treat of the night.  Jack Sprague was not in the field in 2003, so this will be his first NCTS race on Halloween.

MOST POPULAR DRIVER:  NASCAR has created an online ballot at www.nascar.com for the fans to vote for their favorite driver for the Most Popular Driver Award.  Fans are allowed to vote once a day, until this Friday, October 31, 2008.  The result of the balloting will be announced at the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series banquet at the end of the season.  Let your voice be heard and vote for your favorite driver before the voting ends!

TEXAS CHASSIS:  Wyler Racing crew chief John Quinn has chosen Chassis No. 120 for Friday's night race in Texas.  This truck was raced earlier this season at Kentucky and Gateway with Terry Cook behind the wheel.  The team earned a best finish of eighth at Kentucky with this truck.

SPRAGUE AT TEXAS: In 17 starts "The Great American Speedway!" Sprague has recorded two wins, coming in the 2001 and 2005 summer races.  In addition, Sprague has eight top-five and eleven top-ten finishes at the 1.5-mile track.  He has led 236 laps and completed 90.2% of the laps competed (2,451 of 2,718).  Sprague has also earned one Pole Award at the track and his average starting position is 14.2 with his average finishing position being 10.2.  In the fall 2007 race with Wyler Racing, Sprague finished sixth after being wrecked going for the lead during a G-W-C finish.  Also, in the first Texas race this season, the three-time NCTS champion finished in the fourth position after leading 20 laps.
