GALE FORCE WINDS ENTER THE No. 2 IN TEXAS: Cale Gale, driver of the KHI No.33 Nationwide Series entry, climbs behind the wheel of the No. 2 Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI) American Commercial Lines (ACL) Chevrolet for the first time this season at Texas Motor Speedway (TMS). Gale will be making his sixth career start in the Truck Series but has never competed at TMS. TOP-10 FINISHER: Even though Gale will be making only his sixth start in Truck Series competition, he has already scored a top-10 finish. Last season driving the No. 2 for KHI at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway, Gale charged from a 15th-place starting position to finish ninth. "In the Truck Series, the main thing you have to remember is to keep your nose clean all day," said Gale. "I love racing Trucks because they are so much fun, they drive really smooth and the races are so short that you have to stay up on the wheel at all times, you can never let your guard down." Cale Gale Quotes: WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ABOUT RETURNING TO THE TRUCK SERIES? "I am pretty excited about this opportunity. I love racing in the Truck Series, but to be honest, who wouldn't be excited about running a KHI truck this year? Our stuff is fast every week and you know when you climb behind the wheel that you are going to be fast. This will not be my first time behind the wheel of a truck this season. I tested for the team at Chicagoland earlier this year. We were fast there and I think that experience will help me this week in the No. 2 truck." WHAT ARE YOUR EXPECTATIONS THIS WEEK? "My biggest challenge is driving the same truck that Ryan Newman took to Victory Lane last week, I know it is good and it's going to be fast so we should definitely be up front all night. I think this track is similar to Charlotte where I ran the Nationwide car earlier this year. It's a little bit different configuration but I have some experience on mile and a half tracks this season. Our goal is to go out, run well and help Ron all we can." THE TRUCK SERIES DOES A LOT OF NIGHT RACING. DOES PRACTICING IN THE DAY AND TRANSITIONING TO NIGHT CHANGE THE TRUCK SIGNIFICANTLY? "Practicing during the day you usually have a tight truck, but you want it that way. As you transition into night, the track gets progressively looser but you have more overall grip. I don't really think it changes too drastically, but the track is rather temperature-sensitive, so knowing that going in helps us make adjustments. " CHASSIS HISTORY: The No. 2 ACL team will bring chassis number 014 to Texas Motor Speedway. The chassis took to the track last week at Atlanta Motor Speedway as Ryan Newman drove the No. 2 Chevrolet to Victory Lane for the first time in 2008. The team refers to this chassis as "Old Faithful" due to the fact that this is the oldest downforce truck the No. 2 team has in their stable of chassis. "Old Faithful" also has a consistent record of being solid throughout a race and coming on strong at the finish proven by last weeks win at AMS. PREVIOUS RACE RECAP: The No. 2 ACL team made it to Victory Lane last week at Atlanta Motor Speedway with driver Ryan Newman behind the wheel for his first career Truck Series race. Newman led early in the race and took the lead from KHI teammate Ron Hornaday for the final time with seven laps remaining. The win marked the first for the No. 2 as well as the first win for crew chief, Ernie Cope. Newman recorded his 21st NASCAR win and became the 19th driver in NASCAR history to record wins in all three of NASCAR's elite series.
