From The Driver's Seat - Quotes From Ron Hornaday:
On racing at Texas: "Texas is a fast track. It's like Atlanta and Lowe's where you can carry a lot of speed out of the turns. I've had some good runs there and finally got my first win at Texas back in June this year. It's so awesome to win at Texas. We've always had good trucks there and to get a win, it was great. It's a great race track and the fans are great. They always make it exciting to race there. Eddie Gossage (TMS president) and his staff do a great job promoting the Truck Series races and it shows every time we race at Texas Motor Speedway.
"I know we have a really good truck for this race. It's been a good truck all year and we've won a couple of races with it. It's the truck we won with at Kansas and the first Texas race. Rick Ren (crew chief) and all the guys at KHI have been working really hard this year to make these Chevrolet trucks fast and they will do the same this week."
Atop The Pit Box - Quotes From Rick Ren:
On racing at Texas: "I really like racing at Texas Motor Speedway. We had a great run there earlier this year. We qualified very well and started third. Ron took the lead early and we led 140 laps. Our guys did a great job in the pits and it was just a great win. We need to do the same this time around. We're coming off of a good week at Atlanta where we gained some points, so we have some good momentum going into this weekend.
"We have the same truck that we won with at Texas in June ready to go. It's a really good truck and if it runs as good this time as it did last time, we can have another great day."
Chassis No. 024 to Make Return at Texas: Chassis No. 024 will return to the track this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway for the Chevy Silverado 350K for the sixth time this season. This truck has been in victory lane twice in 2008, winning at Kansas in April and Texas in June. The truck also has finishes of 10th (Kentucky) and 23rd (Charlotte and Michigan).
Previous Race Recap: Ron Hornaday and the Kevin Harvick Inc.
