Todd Bodine made a dramatic last-lap pass of Kyle Busch to win Saturday's Mountain Dew 250 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Talladega Superspeedway.

Bodine pulled Ron Hornaday Jr. into second with him in the pass at the exit of Turn 4. Combined with Johnny Benson's 11th-place finish, Hornaday now has 39-point lead in the NCTS standings with five races to go.

Pole-sitter Erik Darnell led at the start in his Northern Tool + Equipment Ford F-150, only to see the first caution fly on Lap 2 for debris on the track. Darnell led teammate Colin Braun's Con-way Freight Ford and defending race-winner Todd Bodine's Lumber Liquidators Toyota Tundra on the Lap 4 restart.

On Lap 15, Jack Sprague pitted the American Commercial Lines Chevrolet Silverado, with suspected engine problems. Joey Logano's NCTS debut, meanwhile, hit a big snag as he lost his right-side window in the Team ASE/Raybestos/Harris Trucking Toyota and had to pit for a lengthy repair.

The top three stayed that way until Lap 19, when the caution flew again for debris, which included Logano's window and a piece of sheetmetal from another truck. That sent the leaders down pit road one lap later, the three leaders maintaining their respective spots through two-tire pit stops. But Ron Hornaday Jr. was busted for speeding on pit road in his Camping World Chevrolet and decided to stop again for left-side tires. He restarted 26th.

The track went green on Lap 22, and soon after, Darnell reported a vibration in his Ford. But he held the lead until Lap 34, when Bodine went to the outside and used a push from Johnny Benson's Toyota Certified Used Vehicles Tundra to takeover the point. But almost as soon as Bodine went out front, Darnell re-passed him to go back up front.

After 47 laps, the halfway point of the race, it was all Roush Fenway Racing Fords up front, Darnell leading Braun and Jon Wes Townley's Zaxby's Ford, with Bodine fourth and Alabama native Rick Crawford completing the top five in his Powerstroke Diesel by International Ford.

The leaders started pitted under green on Lap 50, Bodine tapping Townley and sending his Ford spinning. But Townley recovered and came in for tires and fuel. Crawford wasn't so lucky, earning a pass-through penalty for speeding on pit road, as did David Starr.

When the pit stops cycled through, Bodine led Darnell, the Menards Chevrolet of Matt Crafton and Bodine's teammate, Mike Wallace and Benson.

On Lap 67, Braun went to the outside and around Braun, and seconds later, Sprague brought out a caution when he hit Kyle Busch's Miccosukee Resorts Toyota and bounced into the frontstretch tri-oval wall.

The leaders pitted on the following lap, Braun winning the race off pit road on the basis of a fuel-only stop. Mike Skinner and Landon Cassill made contact during the stop, with Skinner's Toyota Tundra having to make an extra stop to get the sheetmetal pulled out from the right front.

When the green flag flew with 18 laps to go, Dennis Setzer's Bessemer City Dodge-sponsored Dodge Ram led John Andretti in the Hyprene Ergon Toyota, Braun, Brian Scott's Albertsons Toyota, Scott Speed's Red Bull Toyota, Darnell and Bodine.

Then it got crazy.

Braun took the lead with 16 laps to go, with the entire field going three-wide first and then four-wide, with Busch and Scott taking turns up front. Finally, with 14 to go, Busch and Bodine broke free, pulling Hornaday and Braun with them.

With 11 laps to go, Braun blew a tire in Turn 4, but the field miraculously avoided "the big one," dodging Braun's spinning truck. Although Andretti also spun, no truck made contact with the wall.

The green came out with seven laps to go, a single-file restart, with Busch leading Bodine, Hornaday, Scott and Chad McCumbee in the Malcolmson Construction Chevrolet.

With five laps to go, Townley and Darnell tried to jump outside and start a second line, but Townley got hung out and couldn't go anywhere. Braun, though, could and with three laps to go challenged Busch for the lead. With two to go, Busch was low and led Braun by .002 seconds at the line.

Braun used a push from T.J. Bell to take the lead on the white-flag lap. There was a huge wreck on the backstretch, but the green stayed out, with Bodine getting Busch loose in Turn 4 and going by for the victory, pulling Hornaday into second place with him. Busch finished third.
