CHEVY RACING: Mountain Dew 250 Pre-Race Notes

Ron Hornaday, Jr., No. 33 Camping World Silverado, led 14 Team Chevy Silverado drivers in qualifying for the Mountain Dew 250 Fueled by Winn-Dixie for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at Talladega Superspeedway.  The two-time and defending champion will roll-off seventh in tomorrow's race.

The 94-lap/250.04-mile race will take the green flag Saturday at 4:00 p.m. (EDT) with live coverage on SPEED, MRN Radio and Sirius Satellite radio.

RON HORNADAY, JR., NO. 33 CAMPING WORLD SILVERADO, QUALIFIED 7th: "We just have to keep Johnny (Benson) in sight.  Rick Ren and all the guys at KHI have done a great job with this Camping World Chevy Silverado this weekend.  Heck, I don't know, but that is the best qualifying that I have ever had here so we'll see.  Hopefully it will run in the top-ten and we'll be alright.  We just have to keep Johnny in our sights all day and we'll race him at the end of these races. I was real happy with the truck.  Rick Ren and the guys made great changes on the truck and I think that will help a little bit.  It just shows how this teamwork works.   They are a lot of fun and these trucks draft up so fast, so we'll see what we can do."

MATT CRAFTON, NO. 88 MENARDS/SUPER CLEAN SILVERADO, QUALIFIED 12th:

LOOKS LIKE YOU GUYS HAVE A PRETTY GOOD TRUCK FOR TOMORROW? "Yeah, that's the way it rolled off the trailer and that lap was pretty much what it made in a simulated qualifying run on the very first time off the trailer.   At least we backed it up and we just made a few adjustments yesterday during practice to make our Menards Silverado pretty good for the race.

YOU HAVE A TEAMMATE AND SOME OTHER CHEVROLET DRIVERS TO HELP YOU IN THE DRAFT TOMORROW TO GET TO THE FRONT, CORRECT? "Yes, my teammate definitely worked together with me yesterday and I was really, really surprised about how both our Chevy's worked together and pushed to the front.   Actually I could push him to the front better than he could push me.  But we'll just have to wait till the last lap to decide that."

T.J. BELL, JR., NO. 7 HOME 4 THE HOLIDAYS/HEATHCLIFF'S SILVERADO, QUALIFIED 24th: "Not much from qualifying.  We changed everything from last night.  We weren't the best but our TRG guys took this Chevy Silverado and have done a really, really good job of getting this thing ready and hopefully we'll get really comfortable in the draft.  I would like to start up front but it doesn't look like we are going to so we'll just get ready to go racing tomorrow."
