GAUGHAN: Two Jobs at Talladega

The International MaxxForce Diesel team will utilize chassis CB-8 this weekend at TSS. This is the same truck that Gaughan drove to 34th-place finish in the season-opening event at Daytona International Speedway.

Gaughan has scored two top-16 finishes in two career truck series starts at Talladega, and has two lead-lap finishes to his credit.

Gaughan posted his career-best Sprint Cup Series finish at Talladega in 2004, finishing fourth in the fall race at the superspeedway.

Gaughan currently occupies the 13th position in the driver point standings, 204 points out of top 10.

Gaughan's Thoughts on Talladega Superspeedway:  "We're heading to Talladega with kinda the same truck we had in Daytona. The boys in the fab shop have had to completely rebuild it basically. Circle Bar's history at the big tracks - going back to Crawford winning at Daytona and how well he ran at Daytona this year - Circle Bar Racing has a great history in the restrictor-plate races."

"The way I look at it, I've got two jobs at Talladega. For the MaxxForce team, we need to win. We need to get a win this year and Talladega is one of those wild-card races that anybody can win. But second, Talladega is Rick Crawford's home track. Just like last week in Vegas was my homecoming and a lot of things were done for me there, this is my turn to give back to Rick. If I can push Rick Crawford to a win, I'm going to do it. The way that things go there, if he's pushing me, he's going to want me to get a win just as bad, but it sure would mean just as much for me to help him win. This would be the only place ever that I'll say it means just as much for me to finish second and push my man Crawford to a win because Rick Crawford winning in Alabama would just be fantastic."
