KVAPIL: Returning to Trucks at New Hampshire
After a three-month hiatus, Sprint Cup driver and former NASCAR Craftsman
Truck Series champion, Travis Kvapil returns to the No. 09 Zaxby's Ford F-150 at
New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Kvapil has competed in five Craftsman Truck Series
races this season with one top-five and three top-10 finishes.
Kvapil is no stranger to success in the truck series at the 1.058-mile oval. He
won the race in 2004, and in addition he has finished in the top 10 in four out
of the five truck races he has run at New Hampshire.
"I can't wait to get back in the truck again this weekend in Loudon," Kvapil
said. "Truck racing is so much fun, and the guys on the Zaxby's team always give
me good trucks. I haven't competed in the truck series since Dover in May, so
I'm ready to go. Loudon has been a great track for me in the past, so it would
be nice to make a return trip to victory lane."
Kvapil is slated to run most of the remaining races where the truck series
shares the track with the Sprint Cup Series. The exception will be Talladega,
which John Wes Townley is scheduled to drive. Bobby East will compete at the
stand-alone event in Las Vegas next weekend.
