Fresh off a top-five run in Madison, IL, Todd Bodine will steer the Lumber Liquidators Tundra around New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Saturday afternoon. Bodine, a native of Chemung, NY, has a lot of memories of the flat, tight one-mile circuit and he hopes this week to add a victory to the collection of memorable moments.
"Racing at Gateway, the things we learned and the changes we made should help us at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. I love the track and I always look forward to getting there to race and get some lobster," said Bodine, the 2006 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champ who ranks 4th in the series standings this season.
Chassis setup is always a key component on race weekend. At Loudon, it takes center stage.
"If we can't roll the center of the corner and beat them to the throttle, we'll be in a tough situation at New Hampshire Motor Speedway," said Bodine.
Bodine made his first Truck Series start at Loudon driving for Germain Racing in 2004. He has four races to his credit in Truck Series competition to go along with his 14 NASCAR Nationwide Series and 11 Sprint Cup Series starts. Bodine has collected top-five finishes in all three of NASCAR's top divisions at the Loudon, N.H. race track.
"Our focus for Loudon is to keep building the momentum and putting ourselves in position to win. The Lumber Liquidators Tundra crew has done a great job getting our performance to the level it needs to be, no matter what obstacles are put in front of us," said crew chief Mike Hillman Jr. "We know we need consistent top-five finishes, wins and top-ten finishes to get to the top of this points battle. We have opened another top-five streak, and we need to keep it rolling through the Camping World 200 this weekend in New Hampshire."
