STARR'S THOUGHTS ON NHMS: "Loudon is a fun place to race at and it is nice to go up to that part of the country.  You have to have good handling at Loudon much like we had to have last week at Gateway.  What is nice about the track is that we have long straight-aways but the radius of the corners is not tight - instead they are wide sweeping corners which produces great racing.  As the trucks do just about everywhere - the race at Loudon always seems to be one heck of a show - not only for the fans but also from the driver's seat."

STARR SIMILARITIES BETWEEN NHMS AND GATEWAY:  "These two tracks are a lot alike is many respects.  Heck, you could lay Gateway on top of Loudon and it would be pretty accurate except for turns one and two.  The two tracks are very similar in turns three and four with the sweeping wide corners and the braking you use getting into turn three from the long straight-away.  The set-up we used last week at Gateway will apply again this week at Loudon.  And that is exciting for me because we had a very good handling truck last week and that gives us confidence for this week that we will be good again."

THOUGHTS ON NEW CREW CHIEF - RICK GAY: "I am very excited to be working with Rick Gay.  I have obviously known him around the garage for many years and to be able to work with him is an honor.  He has stepped into the leadership role at Red Horse Racing and really clicked well with the guys on the team and that is so important.  And the good communication that he and I have is something that is so key between a driver and crew chief.  That communication was the key reason we were able to work so hard last week in Gateway and get on the same page with our handling package on our No. 11 Toyota Tundra during our two practice sessions on Friday. Accomplishing that level of communication with someone during your first race of working together is tremendous.  I look forward to working with Rick the rest of the season and finishing things off on a strong note."

STARR ON NEW SMALLER SPACER PLATE FOR THE TOYOTA ENGINE AND HOW IT AFFECTS SET-UPS:  "The Toyota Tundra's have had some horsepower taken away from them which makes it crucial to perfectly hit on your set-up each week now.  The impact was very evident last week in Gateway.  Rick Gay and my Red Horse Racing crew had my truck handling very well and I could really get up underneath other trucks getting in and to the center of the corners.  But when the other competitors were able to get back in the gas off the corner and down the straight-away they just drove away from me.  It was so frustrating to handle so well but get out powered down the straight-away.  We seem to be at a disadvantage so we just need to work extra hard to hit that perfect set-up each week.  Hopefully this rule will be changed at some point in the near future."

LOUDON CHASSIS: Crew chief Rick Gay has chosen chassis TRD 93 for Saturday's New Hampshire 200. This will be the third time that Starr has raced this chassis in the 2008 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season, as he raced it at Lowe's Motor Speedway in May and most recently at Texas Motor Speedway in June.

STARR AT NHMS: This weekend will be David's eight career Truck Series start at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.  In the previous seven series starts at the 1.058-mile oval speedway, Starr has a best finish of third back in the 2002 event.  He has earned two top-five and four top-ten finishes in those previous seven starts.  He has led eight laps in those starts - all coming in his first event back in 1999.  He has completed 99.7% of the laps (1405 of 1409) and has never recorded a DNF.  Starr's average starting position is 12.4 and his average finishing position is 10.1.
