Justin Marks, of Rocklin, CA, drives the no. 9 Construct Corps Tundra for Germain Racing. When picking favorite tracks he's raced in his budding stock-car and Craftsman Truck racing career, Marks lists Nashville toward the top of his list. He enjoys music almost as much as he enjoys racing, so a win at Nashville would be extra special for the rookie driver.
"Nashville Superspeedway is a fast, aggressive race track. It's definitely one of my top-five favorite tracks to race. We had some fun early this season at Dover this June, which is another fast, aggressive, concrete oval. I hope what we learned there and my experience in the ARCA RE/MAX Series will translate into a great finish for the Construct Corps Tundra in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at Nashville," said Marks, a Raybestos Rookie of the Year contender.
A Nashville Superspeedway trophy guitar would be a special treasure for Marks.
"I love music - listening to it, playing, recording. When I'm not racing, working out at the gym, I'm relaxing with music. To win at Nashville Superspeedway, to get the guitar, would be so awesome. I'll do everything I can to get the Construct Corps Tundra into victory lane at Nashville," said Marks, who enjoys playing with recording software on his laptop computer.
Marks was a factory sports car driver before moving into the Tundra driver ranks in the Truck Series. That experience helps him completely understand the opportunity presented by a race like Nashville, in front of so many Toyota team members and associates.
"Nashville's location makes it a great race track for many Toyota team members and associates to gather. To race before these race fans adds meaning to what you do out there on the track- you're racing a Toyota Tundra, promoting a brand that some of these fans build in their regular work week," said Marks. "As important as the Nashville market is to Toyota, it's also a very big market for my sponsor, Construct Corps."
Germain Racing has won two or more races each year for a total of 14 wins. Along with the victories, the team has earned 5 pole awards, 59 top-five and 88 top-ten finishes and led 1402 laps in 180 Truck Series races.
