GREEN: NASCAR Vet Making Second Career Truck Start at Nashville
TruckSeries.com Report Printer Version

  Discuss

Veteran driver Jeff Green is one whole loves challenges, and he is ready for the one he faces this weekend. Green will be in command of the #40 Westerman Companies Chevrolet in the Toyota Tundra 200 at Nashville Speedway. The challenge: this will only be the second start in the Truck Series in his entire career.

While this will be the first truck start for Green at Nashville Speedway, this will be the third consecutive start for Key Motorsports.

Yet, despite the statistic, Green sees this weekend not as a challenge, but yet as a great opportunity.

"I am looking forward to Nashville this weekend," states Green. This is a track that I am very familiar with from previous competitions, and I am looking forward to testing it out with the truck."

"Not only will this be a learning experience for me, but it will also be a learning experience for the team, and I am looking forward to see what we produce this weekend. We are definitely looking for a great run."

And a learning experience is definitely what the team is looking for at Nashville Speedway. "We are up and ready for this weekend," echoes Crew Chief Lance Hooper. "We definitely realize that this is a weekend of opportunities, not only for Jeff, but for us as well as we strive to continue enhancing our programs at Key Motorsports."

This race weekend will serve as a preparation course for Green as he is set to run for Key Motorsports in both the Nationwide and Truck series races at Bristol in a few weeks.
