CRAWFORD: Fourth in Standings After ORP Indy
TruckSeries.com Report Printer Version

  Discuss

Alabama native Rick Crawford managed to hold on to fourth place in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series standings with a 12th-place finish in Indianapolis this weekend.  While it wasn't the finish he was hoping for after starting seventh, it was enough to keep his title hopes alive.  He is currently 155 points out of first place.

A return to his home turf could boost Crawford's run for the championship, where last year he scored a second place finish in the Mountain Dew 250 Fueled by Winn Dixie at Talladega Superspeedway.  He won't have to wait long either, as only five races stand between him and his October 4th date with NASCAR's Most Competitive Track.

Crawford says that he is extremely proud to be able to compete in front of his home state.

"When the trucks finally came to run at Talladega, I was probably the proudest guy on the planet," said Crawford.  "The fans can come out and watch the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at the superspeedway in Talladega and they'll see one fine show, but they'll also see a very proud Alabamian."

To see Rick Crawford and the rest of the stars of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, visit www.talladegasuperspeedway.com or call 1-877-Go2-DEGA. Tickets also are available in person by visiting the Talladega Superspeedway Ticket Office from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. CDT, Monday- Friday.
